Meet Dena
“Dena has a lovely reassuring manner and made me feel very relaxed.”
My own experience of the healing power of Acupuncture and a passion to help people motivated me to qualify as a therapist. In addition to treating common ailments and improving overall wellbeing, I have a keen interest in stress-induced and emotion-related conditions, gynaecological problems and Fertility/IVF support.
I graduated with a BSc in Acupuncture from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in 2008, and I am trained in both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element styles. This integrated approach maximises the therapeutic effect, with focus not only on the external symptoms, but the cause of the problem(s).
As a therapist, I believe it’s vital to keep learning and stay up to date on new research and techniques. In line with this, I have completed 1 year Post Graduate course and gained a diploma in Acupuncture for Gynaecology, Fertility and Obstetrics giving me specialist knowledge in this area. I have visited China to build on my experience and knowledge of how Acupuncture is used in Hospitals, in combination with my Continuing Professional Development (CPD) postgraduate courses.
I work closely with a network of medical professionals; osteopaths, physios, reflexologists and other therapists in Bracknell to ensure treatment programmes and referrals are patient centred and as effective as possible.
Ensuring the highest standards for my patients, I am;
- A member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC)
- Bound by the Codes of Professional Conduct and Safe Practice
- Covered by full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance
“Dena is very professional and talked me through everything, so I understood it all. Highly recommended!”
